With a degree from MIT, company principal Michael Stein, P.E. began his structural engineering career in 1976.Since then he has evaluated thousands of buildings and offered his expert opinion in cases throughout Louisiana. During the initial evaluation phase, Mr. Stein offers an unbiased opinion on causation and responsibility, providing a realistic assessment of the case’s viability before it proceeds.
On the stand as an expert witness, Mr. Stein is polished and professional and has experience handling the pressure of cross examination. He is also adept at simplifying complex engineering concepts for attorneys, judges, juries and arbitrators, and communicating them in terms they can understand. Mr. Stein has been accepted as an expert by courts in East Baton Rouge (19th JDC), Ascension (23rd JDC) and Livingston Parishes (21st JDC).
